WE'VE LOST DANCING

Choreographed as part of Coastal City Ballet’s Incubator program, “We’ve Lost Dancing” is a celebration of all things that were lost as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. This work centres around the connection between movement and music, the power of the group, and the value of taking breaks.

Sometimes we all need to stop and smell the roses.

When everything else is quiet,
we can finally hear the birdsong.

FACTORY

Commissioned for Canada 150 and Coastal City Ballet, this work features an original score by Tegan Wahlgren (Wallgrin). Musically and choreographically created in tandem, Factory questions the systems that hold our society together, touching on themes of love, competition, sex, ritual, and the desire to be noticed. When removed from urban comforts, will these individuals crumble? Or will they create something new?

When humanity collides with nature at breakneck speed, this world-bending exploration of pack mentality demonstrates the fragility of social fabric and power structures.
